Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has been barred from releasing any leaked audio or footage connected to Nairobi Governor Ann Kananu by a Nairobi court.
Last comes after Kananu filed a slander lawsuit against Sonko this week.
Along with Sonko, Kananu has sued a supposed acquaintance, Mary Nkatha.
Sonko and Nkatha were barred from publishing or disseminating anything about Kananu by Chief Magistrate H. Nyaga on Friday, awaiting the outcome of her case.
"Pending the outcome of the inter partes hearing and resolution of this action, Sonko and Nkatha are thus restrained by a temporary injunction from further writing, printing, publishing, or disseminating any defamatory audio or video recording, whether electronically or on the internet."
They shouldn't distribute any written words or sentiments that are defamatory or derogatory to Kananu, according to Nyagah.
The lawsuit will be heard in an inter partes hearing next week on Friday.
Sonko stated earlier this week that Kananu slept with senior judges in order to get favorable rulings on her lawsuits.
Kananu allegedly slept with Justice Said Juma Chitembwe and Justice Kantai Ole Sankale, according to Sonko.
