Drake is paying tribute to his buddy Virgil Abloh's legacy.

On Sunday, the rapper turned to Instagram to post images of himself with Virgil, just hours after it was revealed that the creative visionary had died at the age of 41 after a secret battle with cancer.

"My aim is to touch the sky 1000 more times for you," Drizzy said, accompanying photographs of the two of them together and an OVO jet that Alboh worked on. "Love you forever, brother. Thank you for everything."

Drizzy and Virgil have been buddies for a long time, with Virgil even creating the Certified Lover Boy artist's $185 million Patek watch, which he highlighted on the single "Life Is Good." In his latest No. 1 hit, "What's Next," Drake also mentions Alboh and his efforts.

Virgil died after a secret fight with cardiac angiosarcoma, a severe type of cancer. The creative director of Louis Vuitton Men's and Off-White had been fighting the illness for two years, during which time he worked on a Mercedes-Benz collaboration, Air Jordan collaborations, and a Louis Vuitton vacation campaign.

Through it all, his work ethic, limitless curiosity, and optimism never faltered, "the creative's official Instagram account writes. "Virgil's passion for his profession and goal of opening doors for others and building avenues for greater equality in art and design propelled him forward." "Everything I do is for the 17-year-old version of myself, "he frequently remarked, believing passionately in the power of art to inspire future generations."

According to the post, Alboh is survived by his wife Shannon, his children Lowe and Grey, his parents Nee and Eunice, and his sister Edwina.
