After being smoked out of a drinking den by the police, several pupils from Gatitu Mixed Day and Boarding Secondary School in Murang'a are cooling their heels at Makuyu Police Station.
The students were on their way home for the holidays when they stopped by one of the seedy drinking establishments in a local shopping mall and drank cheap booze.
After receiving a tip from the public, police raided the den.
When the rogue students were apprehended, they were very inebriated.
After being escorted to a local police station, one of the kids was photographed vomiting on the floor.
High school pupils' cases of indiscipline are on the rise.
George Magoha, the Education Cabinet Secretary, and Fred Matiang'i, the Interior Cabinet Secretary, recently announced that they are considering reintroducing caning in schools.
They claim that reintroducing physical punishment will help to reduce indiscipline and school unrest in the country.
The students who were inebriated are photographed below.
