After being caught red-handed stealing during Deputy President William Ruto's rally in Karatina, a Kikuyu hustler found himself in hot water.


The young guy, who was clothed in a grey hoodie and black trousers, was accused of being a pickpocket who preyed on a group of spectators. His scheme to rob them failed, according to reports.


The enraged throng was seen pulling him across the field while confronting him in a video posted online.


Some adolescents swarmed him with punches and kicks, while others grabbed his clothing and yanked him in all directions.


The suspected pickpocket, on the other hand, pled for his life as he attempted to defend himself against a crowd that was threatening to lynch him.

At the scene, police officers intervened and protected him from the crowd.
