Chris Brown will perform at the Midnight in Africa concert on August 26 at Nairobi’s Carnivore Grounds.

The R&B artist will be playing in Kenya for the second time. Chris Brown was the featured performer at the Mombasa Rocks concert in 2016, which took place at Nyali Golf Club.

Governor Ali Hassan Joho made a pledge on stage during the most exciting and unforgettable concert of 2016 that the country will soon see more A-list performers.

The top American performer shared a stage with Tanzanian Alikiba and Nigerian Wizkid in Mombasa. According to rumors, Brown received Sh90,000,000,000,000 for the 90 minutes he spent performing.

The figure was disputed by the show’s organizers, who were led by co-director Thandi Ojeer of Wale Wasee Limited.

When asked for the amount, the promoter said, “That’s sensitive information; it’s like asking someone to give their bank balance,” and then added, “No, I wish I had that sort of money.”

Concert tickets for 2016 are sold for Sh10,000 for normal seats and Sh20,000 for premium seats.
