Corona Updates Kenya; Covid Infection 19 Decreases

The prevalence of Covid 19 infection in the country has dropped to 0.6 percent today from 2.9 percent yesterday, after testing 3014 samples in the past 24 hours. 

The number of new infections in the period is 17, 16 being Kenyan and one foreign national.

The 9 victims are male, 8 female, the youngest is one year old and the oldest is 95 years old.
Statistics from the health ministry show that the total number of confirmed cases in the country so far is 253,310 from a total of 2,704,816 samples.
Sixty-four Covid patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, 61 at home and three were discharged from various hospitals in the country. 
A total of 19 Covid survivors since the outbreak were 246,829 and of them 199,405 were treated at home and 47,424 were treated in hospital.
Five patients have died due to Covid 19 deaths that occurred on different dates in September and October which were discovered after an audit of hospital data from across the country.
In vaccination, a total of 5,307,181 doses have been given out of which, 3,679,975 are people who have received the first dose and 1,627,206 have received both doses.
