One person has died and others have been injured following an accident at the Mlolongo checkpoint on Expressway Road on Saturday night.
In a statement, the highway management council confirmed the accident, saying it was the first crash on the road.
The accident was caused by a driver who was driving too fast as he was leaving the road.
The council said the driver hit the station along with other vehicles parked there.

One booth of the station was hit and injured one attendant and other drivers.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals and are in stable condition.
KENHA Council has announced the closure of the center and assured drivers that strategies will be devised to prevent similar incidents.
Drivers have also been advised to drive at high speeds on the road.
