The government through the youth affairs department has provided more than eight million shillings to upgrade three youth centers in Narok county, in an effort to promote talent among the youth.
Charles Sunkuli, secretary of the youth affairs department, said the three centers, Kilgoris in Trans Mara West sub-county, Emurua Dikirr in Trans Mara East sub-county and Mulot in Narok West sub-county, would be of great benefit to the youth service providers. young people.
The secretary was speaking in western Narok when he presided over the official opening of the Talek youth center.
“When completed, the centers will improve the development of young talent as well as provide leisure and entertainment facilities,” said Sunkuli.
The secretary said the youth department would put in place adequate equipment including computers at the youth centers.
At the same time he promised to register the centers with a digital employment program as well as help young people in the area to earn money through the youth fund.
“Young people in Narok County are facing a number of challenges and if left unchecked their economic growth will be hampered by development in Narok County,” added Sunkuli.
