According to Hussain, bodies are usually brought to two-person huts where they are collected, boxed and reached the bridge, where people get off the car, pick up the bodies, and throw them across the bridge into the river.

According to local residents, the body was dumped into the river by strangers.

The main figure who recovered the bodies from the river was local resident Okero, who reported that 31 bodies had been recovered over the past six months.

“We also saw dozens of unknown bodies in the mortuary of the Yala Regional Hospital, which were rescued from the river. Some of the bodies were found in well-made sacks like bags,” Hussein said. Boniface Mwangi, one of the human rights activists who visited

Falls, urged the government to give citizens confidence in safety.
